Jodi Ketelsen, RN

I was hospitalized three times for a lung infection related to a hot tub. I would characterize all the people who treated me at the Minneapolis VA as kind, respectful, and caring. It was especially nice to get to CLC ward 1E. When I was anxious about discharging home, I would frequently wake up in the middle of the night. My inability to sleep ended up being a gift as my night nurse, Jodi, would come in and check on me. Jodi listened patiently! On the last night before going home, Jodi visited again and I finally fell asleep. When I awoke, the day shift was onboard but there was a nice surprise on my table – a handwritten note from Jodi telling me she wished me very well! Jodi is a superstar, a diva, a standout, a role model!! She deserves recognition for quietly and competently going above and beyond! Jodi’s care really touched me, and I want her management to know that she’s one special RN!
