Jodi Neumayer has thoughtfulness and kindness. We had a patient who came to the unit months ago. He wasn't in good shape and his prognosis wasn't looking too good. After a time, he came around and became our miracle patient. Each staff member looked forward to caring for this particular patient every day. Although we were overjoyed that our miracle patient was on the mend, we were sad at the thought of not seeing him every day. He too was sad at the thought of leaving what he now considered an extended family. Jodi suggested that we have a quilt made for a Christmas gift from the staff to give the patient something to remember us by. Jodi collected donations and ordered a quilt. Unfortunately, the patient was discharged to a skilled nursing facility prior to the completion of the quilt. We have decided, as a group, to deliver the quilt to the patient at the skilled nursing facility. Jodi always goes above and beyond for the staff, makes sure we are all ok and offers a hug through the bad days. Trident Medical Center is lucky to have such a compassionate nurse.
