A follow-up call was made to the patient and the wife and the patient could not have been more appreciative of Jody advocating so much for him.
I am a co-worker of Jody's. We had a patient come in for a blood clot in the leg. The patient was sent over by the physician's office. The patient had no symptoms, had no tachycardia no elevation in his breathing, and had no pain. An EKG was performed due to the reasons why he was coming in. Jody noticed that the EKG showed a suspected PE. He advocated for the patient and pushed for a CTA. Per the scan, it showed that the clot he was sent in for looked chronic, and since the patient had no symptoms no further testing was going to be done since the patient was already on medications.

Again advocating for the patient pushing for the CTA patient and MD agreed just to make sure. The patient still showed no symptoms and went for the exam and when the result came back it showed a large Saddle PE. The patient was transferred to the appropriate hospital for surgery. A follow-up call was made to the patient and the wife and the patient could not have been more appreciative of Jody advocating so much for him. They were extremely thankful and the patient states that he feels amazing and said again thank you.
