Jody demonstrates true compassion to her team members by sitting down and listening to each team member’s concern. She comes in early and stays late to meet with each of them on their schedule at their level. She shows how much she truly cares about each team member by giving cards, texting, and calling them with professional and personal advice when needed. She has many years of experience as a leader and is able to correct, give direction, or corrective action with ease while maintaining a professional, compassionate, and empathetic attitude. She takes patient safety very seriously. When she is on the unit, she will be the first one to answer a call light, cosign a GTT with a nurse, help turn patients, sit at the monitors for staff to take a break or complete patient care, etc. She is passionate about her job, and it shows in her team members' satisfaction. I have been blessed to be able to work with her as a nurse on the floor and as a leader to see the other side of what it takes to be a true leader!
