I arrived by ambulance at the UMD Intensive Care Recovery Unit. Nurse Jody was the first face I saw upon arrival. I had suffered two separate hemorrhages in the back of my brain. I was alone with no moral support. Jody was able to gain my trust with her expertise and also be a "best friend" and "family member" over the next eight hours as I moved from CCRU to my MRI, then finally to the ICU. Her stable influence made me focus on the immediate tasks at hand and not wander off into thoughts of despair. An unbelievable chameleon and an outstanding asset for the University of Maryland Medical Center. Thank you, Jody!
