Jody is a fairly new nurse to Crossroads at Augusta Health, but she has done nothing but shine since she arrived. She came in and took over the evening shift charge nurse position. Jody is patient with staff; she is stern when she needs to be without appearing rude or condescending. Her compassion shows when she is dealing with our patients, utilizing her experience to be matter-of-fact when it is necessary or simply listening when someone needs to vent. She eats on the fly when necessary and jumps in to help. Jody delegates, but would never delegate something she won't and hasn't done herself. And for someone so petite, she has quite a way with the more difficult patients. When I work with Jody, I feel safe, knowing she has my back. Jody truly cares about people.
