Joe made my family feel better when he was on duty. All the CCU staff was wonderful, but Joe had a way about him that would calm us down when we would get high with anxiety. I live about 75 miles away from the hospital and received the call that my younger brother just had a heart attack. He is on life support and we were waiting for the results to see if my brother has any brain wave. I am 61 years old and have been in many hospitals. I am a hospital volunteer to I know enough about the death process. When it is your loved one facing the unknown, it is a different coping mode, not yet knowing the long term outcome. Joe Fenton has shown us all love and compassion and gave us answers to our questions. Joe is most worthy of receiving the DAISY award.
