My husband was admitted to PFH with acute cellulitis with an infection. After a couple of days, we learned that his leg would need to be amputated. My husband was in a lot of chronic pain and the news was upsetting. He became emotional and agitated. At times he would become difficult and angry. We met Joe on our visit. He was the night nurse. While have always had excellent care at PFH. Joe brought it to a higher level. Joe was great at easing my husband’s emotions. We are so very grateful. Joe was kind, comforting, caring, and calming. Joe was scheduled to be off the next night, but chose to work just to take care of my husband. Joe was also the caregiver after surgery. Thank you, Joe.
