I was admitted to Good Shepherd Hospital on February 3 with chest pains and full cardiac work-up. I was frightened to say the least and very apprehensive and worried. Fortunately, my work-up revealed I needed changes in medication and I was extremely grateful and relieved. I am writing this letter because I believe I received exceptional care by JC in Rapid Response. His compassion and kindness was over and above any expectations I anticipated.

JC explained procedures and provided gentle and caring expertise along with his obvious incredible knowledge base. His bedside manner was impeccable and genuine. I was treated with great respect and care at Good Shepherd Hospital during my stay. My significant other is a nurse there and tells me that nurses try to make a meaningful difference in their patients' lives.

If nursing is the heart of healthcare - JC exemplifies that in every way. I am nominating him for the DAISY Award because I believe he deserves a thank you and recognition for the way he made me feel. He is a great clinician who obviously loves nursing and makes your hospital a better place.

I owe JC my personal and profound gratitude for easing my pain and my heart. We both felt we had an angel at our bedside. He made me feel at ease with all the questions I asked and was truly at the right place at the right time for me. JC should certainly be honored for mending our heavy hearts and providing me with standard of excellence I will never forget.
