Our dad was brought in via ambulance having a heart attack. They took us straight to the family conference room to which we met Joel. Our world had just been turned upside down and he took his time explaining things, very compassionate, continued to come in and out every ten minutes or so trying not to leave us too long, and bless his heart, he even wore our tears on his scrubs. My dad made it that day, due to a lot of factors, but my sister and I were alone when they called the Code STEMI on our dad, except, there was Joel. He even stayed with us while the doctor called us back to the Cath Lab for results and then stayed near or with us until they left for CICU with our dad. Everyone who was involved that day was AMAZING, but for my sister and I, it was Joel who kept us together. We are forever thankful for him. We love you BIG, Joel! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
