I would like to say to my nurse Joelle, thank you for your kindness and compassion. No one likes being in the hospital as a patient, especially nurses, of which I am one. During my stay when faced with a potential very poor outcome, Joelle reflected the mission, vision, and values of Marshfield Clinic. During my time of need to feel safe by entrusting my life in the hands of people I did not know, she provided me with competent care reflected by her knowledge base with aspects of my illness. Her clinical skills are ones of which all nurses should strive to achieve. Joelle’s compassionate care shown through in my weakest of moments. Her kindness for others is something that cannot be taught. The world is a better place to have Joelle in it. This hospital should be honored to have her in their family. Joelle, whose own personal standards of care is what helps Marshfield Medical Center be an outstanding asset to the community.
