My elderly parents want to recognize Johaira. Johaira is a very helpful/positive/caring person. Mom said, "This is her vocation!!"

Johaira exemplifies the highest level of professionalism, knowledge of patient care and consistently demonstrated high levels of compassion and empathy. She was very skillful and efficient. She was very patient with my husband as he went through his challenges, struggles and suffering. Johaira was diligent and always had a beautiful smile and ever positive attitude even when the alarms went off she made my husband feel safe and I knew he was in excellent hands. She worked cooperatively with members of the night team, even looking out for me, making sure I was comfortable and showed me sympathy/empathy.

"Extraordinary" does not begin to describe nurse Johaira. She radiated warmth, caring, compassion and she actually "glowed"! Her smile was so bright, her spirit touched me and I knew I would be just fine. She was very patient with me, although I know I bugged her a lot and she went above and beyond to care for me, even though it meant working longer than her shift. She had a sense of humor which lifted my spirits. When I had a rough time emptying my bladder, she made "white noise" that sounded like water running. She even put a note on my door when she knew I needed much uninterrupted sleep which read "kindly do not disturb patient, see Johaira first."
