Johanna Dantes, RN of 7 South, practices compassionate communication with patients and families.
One of her patients stated, “There is this one Nurse on the evening shift named Johanna, who treated us like her family; like I am her Mom and my husband (the patient) her Dad. She clearly explained to us about the procedure (cardiac cath) and what we will be looking for after the procedure. She understands our fears. After talking to her, it was a sigh of relief.”
Johanna consistently demonstrates courtesy and respect to all her patients. Compassion is the foremost fundamental element of nursing care, and this is the practice Johanna delivers to her patients consistently.
