Nurse, Jo, went out of her way to spend quality time with my husband and me explaining a complicated medical situation involving 8 new physicians over a period of less than 2 days. She was quite capable of understanding and explaining all the different opinions/treatment recommendations and medicines to us. Her warm, caring and friendly manner help to make it easy to interact with her and feel motivated to comply with the plan during admissions and upon discharge. She is a pleasant young professional woman who seems to make being a good role model as an RN in the UPMC system look easy.
