Johannah Delaurie tops the list for qualities and attributes associated with The DAISY Award- from modeling empathy, professionalism and exhibiting excellent interpersonal communication. She is also described as a team player, educator, and above all, goes above and beyond every minute of her shift every day!! Having worked with Johannah for many years, I could not agree more.
On a nomination form a patient writes:
I was recently a patient at SVH - I have been cared for by many different nurses (as a result of a car accident and a few heart problems) and they have all been wonderful.
One, in particular, stands out, Johannah. I have never encountered a nurse with such a professional approach and the "touch of an angel". Truly there are no words to describe her because I have sat for days to try and find them.
