John Alovera, BSN, RN

I have worked at Lenox Hill Hospital for 11.5 years, and on many floors, and rarely come across an RN like John Alovera. He is a true team player. But most importantly, he is made for this! He found out that one of my patients only has a year more to live. Despite John’s busy shift, he went to sit at the bedside of my patient several times over my shift to simply converse with my patient. My patient’s spirit was immediately lifted. John using his free time to spend time with another nurse’s patient deserves to be recognized. It was such a heartfelt warm gesture. I am sure he does this often. He expected nothing in return. He is an excellent nurse.
