This was my eighth breast cancer surgery, and John received me from the post-op team. This incredibly special man needs to be awarded for his outstanding level of medical care.

He watched over every single minute of my recovery. My pain coming out of this surgery was more extreme than all the other surgeries. He observed and stayed on top of my pain management. Absolutely on-point and totally had my back. He assisted with the correct decision-making of having me stay overnight at TGH for pain control.

John went beyond to make sure he contacted my friend and advocate in the waiting room with a “TBD” plan of care. John also helped collect my belongings and get my friend, as there was a delay with my admission, and she got stuck on a golf cart with the valet service since it was so late. Due to my “delay,” we made it to the floor right after the PM shift change, but John gave the night nurse the most amazing and detailed report. The transition to my room was so easy and comfortable.

John is a complete Class Act. He is a collaborator, polite to all his co-workers, and a true leader. His kindness, compassion, and humble generosity need to be recognized. He is a true everyday hero and a blessing to every patient that he encounters. Thank you, John, for your amazing medical care.
