When I went back to Malaysia for maternity leave I had some complications during delivery. I had to extend my leave, I had to miss my re-contracting. John went up and down the offices in PSCC to make sure I would not be terminated and my contract will be renewed.
I nominate John as my nurse leader. Although he is new, I saw his fairness and care as a nurse manager. He is an approachable person and shows kindness to all staff. I can say he is a good leader because I believe that a leader knows how to listen to his staff, shows mutual respect, and maintains professionalism.

He has the charm to pull through the unit together. Our unit had been through a lot of turmoil in the past. He is a supportive leader and a good listener. He is very patient and supportive. A quick learner and tries his best to help the staff. Thanks for being a great manager and we are proud to have you. Staff are very comfortable with having you as their nurse manager. He always goes beyond his working hours to help us.

When I went back to Malaysia for maternity leave I had some complications during delivery. I had to extend my leave, I had to miss my re-contracting. He went up and down the offices in PSCC to make sure I would not be terminated and my contract will be renewed. He even calls my husband all the time to check up on me. He is really a great leader. He is an excellent leader because he knows how to communicate with his staff. He listens intently to our concerns and he understands our needs.

He is also very knowledgeable in his field of work. He is open to new learnings as well. He is a good leader because he is honest. He is transparent about what is going on in the unit and on areas we can improve on. He is also a person of integrity. He has good values and sets a good example for staff. He is also very understanding and kind.
