John was nominated by a physician because of his bedside manner and compassion to patients. John is known as the "singing nurse" because he sings to patients upon their request. His songs would provide comfort to patients and families. The following quote is his nomination and I agree with everything this physician stated:
John is an exceptional nurse and a funny, intelligent, and compassionate person. He continually goes above and beyond for his patients on a mental, spiritual, and physical level. He finally got caught on video performing his acts of love and compassion, singing with a patient, while providing spiritual healing.
