My husband has stage 4 metastatic lung cancer, and he came to the ED the other day for pain control per his PCP at UK.
The nurse, JP, that he had was great! You could tell he really cared for his patients and loved his job. He was very kind and got orders for pain medication immediately. My husband got moved to a different room later, so he got a different nurse. We were disappointed that he would no longer have him because he was on the ball about getting things done.
My husband and I were very impressed that JP came back to check on us not only once but several times to make sure our needs were met and that my husband was comfortable. He made a wonderful impression on us and provided exceptional care!
