Our intellectually challenged son, T, was admitted for heart problems, and John, one of the nurses on East 4 was his nurse. John’s patience and loving care of T touched our hearts. He not only took excellent care of T but patiently explained to us what was happening and why. T always got a big smile on his face when John came into his room. Not only did John give excellent care to our son, but when he saw how tired I was after spending two nights sleeping at the hospital, he told me to go home and get a good rest. John said he would see that T was well taken care of and not to worry. I thank God for sending us, John!! Upon T’s discharge, once again, John was there (above and beyond his duty), patiently explaining all the discharge instructions and answering all our questions. John is a very caring, patient, kind, and loving nurse. He deserves to be recognized for his above-and-beyond duties. John is an asset to the nursing staff at St. Luke’s. Thanks a million, John!!!
