John Nowak, BSN, RN, CCRN

I would like to extend my highest praise for a Mayo employee, John Nowak. John was the post-op nurse for me last Friday for a sinus surgery. John was very professional throughout the post-op process, and he never left my side during the entire process except for a 30-minute break for lunch. I was also admitted overnight to the hospital that evening, and he made sure he not only took care of me, but he also kept my husband fully informed with the status of the move. I told John that I was going to provide some feedback on his extraordinary service, and he kept trying to downplay it and stated that he was "just doing his job." I think he not only "did his job," but he also went well beyond the norm and provided comfort and service that was truly extraordinary. He deserves the highest accolades possible within the Mayo organization.
