John's ability to be compassionate and professional simultaneously is a real gift. He is very knowledgeable and fully engaged and present in his work. I always know I am in exceptionally good hands when he is my nurse. He takes the time to explain the answers to my questions and is humble enough to seek the answers when he does not have them himself. I've also seen him called upon to help other staff and he seems to do it happily, although it can't be easy with each nurse having their own workload. All of the nurses have made my long stay at the hospital as comfortable as possible, but John has made it that one notch better.
