John Ramirez, Student

John Ramirez is a 6th term WCU Ontario student and has received the Student DAISY Award for extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate patient care. John performed the Heimlich maneuver on a visitor who was choking in the cafeteria during his clinical rotation. He was the first one to approach the scene and intervene as necessary until further help arrived. A code blue was called and this visitor was taken care of appropriately.
