B came into the hospital for what we thought was going to be a routine upper and lower GI. Not so much! While doing the upper his heart went into a-fib. They also found fluid around the heart and a spatter of blood clots in his lungs. They admitted him to the hospital.
With a lot of stress and questions, a wonderful nurse named John Rogers came in. He talked to B about the question he had. Later he came back to tell B he was going off duty and to see how he was doing and that he would see him tomorrow.
The next day John came in, pulled up a chair and they talked about B's condition. As B put it, they chit-chatted.
John was very caring and friendly, although all the other staff on the 6th floor is awesome, B felt John went about the call of duty.
Thanks, John, from B and myself. I saw some of the stress and after you talked to him it was relieved.

Thank you, John, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
