I can't imagine getting a better nurse that John Scott. He is the whole package. Attentive, compassionate, patient, spot on with taking medical ownership of me as a patient, competent in drawing blood, etc. He's a pro! He's an angel and definitely found his calling in life. Any patient would be lucky to get John as their nurse. Can't imagine anyone that could've been better!
He put my family's mind at ease and was extremely informative, respectful, reassuring, and never made us feel like we were asking a stupid question. I can't think of an instance where John didn't know the answer to a question and if he didn't have the answer, he knew how to find it. He was always very proactive vs. reactive.
I came in as a historically healthy 30-year-old mother of a one-year old and had been infected with MRSA staph and pneumonia in both of my lungs. My diagnosis was extremely serious and John acted as the "glue" between the team of wonderful doctors I was blessed with at St. Luke's, but without him I'm not sure the gap would've been bridged as seamlessly.
From a patient's point of view, consistency and continuity is critical. You want to feel like you have a medical advocate. John took the bull by the horn and was my advocate. St. Luke's is lucky to have him.
