Johnna encouraged me to be myself and made me less self-conscious about using the urinal and bedpan. She checked on me regularly before I even pushed the call button. I was shy and she said, "don't worry about it". She put me at ease in a big, strange, busy hospital. She helped a shy country boy feel more comfortable. I enjoyed joking with her and she even stayed with me a little past her shift.
