Joia Bush, RN, BSN

"I'm beyond honored to be named a DAISY Award Honoree, especially during such a special month," said Bush. "This might be the best Christmas gift I have ever got!" Bush has been working at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center for only a few months and has received multiple nominations, including two in December. A patient's mom wrote, "Joia is very kind, compassionate, observant and an advocate for patients. She is persistent in seeing that my son's pain was relieved and called the doctor at the family's request. She patiently explained and answered our questions." The patient's brother also nominated Bush, writing, "Joia did an excellent job of taking care of my brother and an exceptional job of listening and explaining everything, and answering my questions. She's an outstanding nurse!"
