Jolene Cuaresma, MSN, RN

Jolene was one of the first nurses who cared for me during my long stay at Kaiser. The kindness that she emanates, the concern, and her ability to listen to her patients. Her ability to calm you down when you are afraid and in pain. She almost has this sense of magicalness to her.

The ability to soothe you out of your state of fear, to kneel beside you and hold your hand, and connect with you on a personal level where you can truly feel her concern. She was my go-to even when she was not my nurse, and I was having a hard time. It was very emotional and scary for me to be here so long.

I remember finding comfort seeing her in the hallway when I was walking and being so grateful to be able to walk up and for her to ask me if I needed a hug, and I absolutely did. I am a grown woman, and she could be my child, but the comfort that sweet soul offered me was indescribable.

Anytime I saw her, she could read my energy and knew if I needed a hug. She knew if I just needed to talk for a moment because I was afraid about something that was going on with me medically.

I feel that she is in the right field where she belongs. She truly is an Earth Angel that is meant to be here to help heal people.
