There are many reasons/stories that show how Jolene is a great nurse. One specific story that comes to mind is seemingly small, but the gesture has stuck with me forever. I was taking a relative back to pre-op and she was crippled somehow and walking with a limp. Unlike Jolene, I sort of walked ahead to the hold the doors (I walk fast). Jolene saw us coming and wrapped her arms around the woman and walked at her pace (which was very slow) the whole way to the patient's bed. She was talking to the relative the whole way there. I loved seeing how she slowed herself to their level. It reminded me to take things slower for others sometimes, which I see Jolene do for others all the time.
