A patient's family member nominated Jolie Neubauer for the DAISY Award after Jolie was there by the patient's side throughout her bone marrow transplant process. The patient's daughter states that Jolie not only looked after her mom, "but she also looked out for the entire family" during the whole 21 day stay. The family lived out of town and Jolie took care of her patient so the family was able to take care of themselves. Jolie "truly served as an advocate and unforgettable caregiver" and the patient's daughter truly believes, "Jolie and my mom would have been the best of friends". Jolie receives the DAISY Award for her outstanding care and attentiveness to both patient and family.
