Jolynda had me as her assigned patient. She took some extra time to get to know me and show she could take better care of me. She was a 3rd shifter. We talked for easily 20 minutes as I told her about me - she assured me I was safe. As I got into my story, we cried and laughed together. I truly felt cared about. She didn't judge me for being a cutter. She has a calmness about her that put my mind at ease. She has a beautiful spirit along with a contagious smile. I felt blessed to have her as my nurse. I felt no tension that night because I knew she was there protecting me. She had my best interest at heart. Her happy, go-lucky personality took the tension and anxiety out of me, if only for that night. She gave me peace of mind. God bless her! She was MY angel!!
