Jomara J. Pena, BSN, CBN, RN

Jomara was nominated by several colleagues and supervisors, delivering exceptional patient and family-centered care. One of her nominations states that she "provides valuable leadership and collaboration with all disciplines involved with the Bariatric patient." Since joining the Bariatric program, Jomara navigated over 200 patients through their surgeries, "whether is it calling physician offices to coordinate/obtain last minute clearance one day before surgery, holding a patient's hand for comfort, or calling patients on the weekends to address any concerns or pre-surgery jitters." Jomara continues to ensure patient anxiety decreases as this does affect outcomes after surgery. She "truly exemplifies the vision, mission, and values" of the facility.
