Jon discharged a patient who went home with a foley catheter. A few hours after discharge, the patient called. He had gone home with a small drainage bag and was asking Jon where he could get a larger one. The patient was so anxious about the foley and the thought of not being able to manage the drainage bag was making him even more nervous.

Jon spent a great deal of time on the phone reassuring the patient. He even called the patient’s local ED (BJC Progress West) to secure him a larger drainage bag. John went above and beyond and deserves to be recognized.
