Jonah Clark, RN

I worked with Jonah on a night that was exceptionally busy for most of the staff. He was taking care of multiple patients who were dealing with uncontrolled pain, nausea, and vomiting. While quickly attending to those patients’ needs and paging the doctor for further treatment options, one of his other patients became hypotensive. Jonah was able to notice signs of sepsis despite the system's failure to trigger a SIRS alert. He quickly responded by notifying the provider of the concerns. When multiple boluses were provided and the patient's blood pressure failed to respond, he continued to advocate for the patient by expressing his concerns to the provider. He was patient-focused and not afraid to voice his opinion on a possible increase in the level of care. While handling this, he never faltered in offering his other patients quality and compassionate care. Jonah truly empathizes with his patients and will advocate for them regardless of the effort it takes. By the end of the night, his patients were comfortable and well taken care of, all thanks to his efforts.
