November 2025 Honoree
Jonah L Stratman, ADN, RN
My Daughter went into comfort care while in the ICU. Jonah explained what that was and what he would do to ease her suffering. He helped us make the most difficult decision in our lives by letting her go. The care he gave her while she was there was exceptional. He was respectful and caring of our wishes and went above and beyond what a nurse would do by making us comfortable with blankets, chairs, water, and whatever we needed. His soft-spoken voice helped us so much. Thank you for hiring such a kind, caring, compassionate nurse. He is a great asset to Nebraska Med.

During what should be the hardest day of my sister-in-law’s hospital stay – transition to comfort care – Jonah has gone so far beyond just a staff RN or representative of the facility. He has made sure to check with us and treat Sara as a person and not just a patient. His compassion and ability to connect with loved ones are beyond anything we could’ve hoped for during all this transitioning throughout the night.
