February 2025 Honoree
Jonah MAFC Warfield, RN
Jonah Warfield, RN, was working in Pod S, where six patients had been waiting for an inpatient bed for over 70 hours. Noticing that these patients had gone days without showers, Jonah took the initiative to escort them one by one, with security, to use the decontamination shower. This effort required hours of preparation—assembling shower kits, cleaning the shower, and disposing of dirty linens. Jonah’s actions went beyond standard procedure, as we typically only provide bath wipes for patients who wait for beds this long in the ED. His empathy and dedication not only restored dignity to these individuals but also significantly improved their mood and cooperation. Several patients expressed their gratitude. Jonah’s compassion and commitment to patient well-being we incredible—he truly went above and beyond.
Thank you, Jonah MAFC, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
