I never experienced a male nurse before, and I was not sure I could overcome my fear of judgment or disgust by a male nurse. But Jon did not even one time gave me any reason to feel criticized or any form of personal embarrassment in fact just the opposite. He reassured and calmed me in ways I can't even describe...more like his 'vibes' just overcame my internal fears. He went even further to help me though. When all of a sudden, my ride and my place to safely recover for the night immediately after discharge fell through, he found a resource for a ride. He sat down and actually talked to me human to human and made me feel like he was a true friend...something I really needed right then because I was kinda freaking out. And after all that stress I went through he put a do not disturb on my chart so I could get a few hours of much-needed sleep! When I was stressing out about my at-home meds that I thought I'd brought with me but couldn't find he remained calm and worked through the situation until my sister could search my room and she found the missing meds. He kept me calm and reassured me at every point I needed a cool hand Luke! What a fantastic person and nurse this man is! Anyone who hires him truly has the best of the best for an employee let me assure you. Thank you Jon...truly...thank you.
