Jonathan Calderon, RN, BSN

Jonathan Calderon, a member of the first cohort of BSN graduates from CNI College in Santa Ana, CA. He experienced an abrupt closure of a previous nursing program, and he felt defeated and lost. Luckily, he met inspiring people, work peers, future classmates, family, and, of course, teachers who pushed him out of his comfort zone and taught him to embrace the challenges. We want to recognize Jonathan with The DAISY Award for his academic achievement and his leadership within the campus and state-wide boards of the CA Nursing Student Association (CNSA). Jonathan is motivated to further his career as a nurse leader and invoke the same inspiration to nurses, nursing students, and colleagues to become the best compassionate and caring nurses and to never give up.
