Jon is an Extraordinary Nurse and person. He always takes the extra time to make everyone feel welcomed and cared for. Just this week, he listened to a patient and their family about multiple concerns, mostly related to dietary issues. This patient had an unplanned colectomy which left the patient very confused about what she should eat. Jon took the time to ensure all meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner would satisfy the patient. He took the extra time to listen, sitting at the bedside, just letting the patient and family talk. Sometimes all it takes is a listening ear to make everything better. This is just one example of amazing care he provides to his patients. Jon smiles! He smiles all the time; it lights up the room.
