Jonathan stepped up. He spent his downtime on his shift with my grandpa.
Jonathan was the nurse for two nights while my grandpa was in the hospital on comfort care. I didn’t get to personally meet Jonathan, but my grandma talked about him and expressed how wonderful he was. Jonathan took the time to listen and comfort my grandma in her biggest time of need. He understood what she was going through and was a calming voice in the room. He listened and knew how important it was to my grandma that my grandpa was not alone and while she wanted to be there 24/7 she knew that wasn’t possible. Jonathan stepped up. He spent his downtime on his shift with my grandpa. He watched him when she couldn't, he held his hand and told him it was ok when she couldn’t. For this, my family will forever be grateful. The world needs more nurses like Jonathan. My family can never say thank you enough for helping comfort us through one of the hardest times in our lives!
