I want to nominate Jon for the DAISY Award in recognition of his outstanding care, leadership, and dedication to both his patients and his colleagues. My long-term boyfriend was recently admitted to the hospital after suffering two cardiac arrests due to a blood clot saddling both lungs. During such a terrifying and uncertain time, Jon provided not only exceptional medical care but also a sense of security and reassurance that meant the world to us. Jon was incredibly attentive and compassionate, ensuring my boyfriend received the highest level of care. He explained everything clearly, answered our concerns patiently, and never wavered in his commitment to ensuring we felt supported. His presence was a source of comfort, and his skill and professionalism were evident in every action he took. What made Jon’s care even more remarkable was his role in training another nurse during this time.

Watching him guide and mentor her with such patience and expertise was truly inspiring. He created an environment of learning while maintaining the highest standards of care, ensuring that the nurse had the confidence and knowledge to provide the best support possible. His leadership was evident, and it was clear that he genuinely cared not only about his patients but also about helping his colleagues grow.
