Recently, we had to bring my 7-year-old daughter into the hospital because she broke her arm.
This being the first time she has ever been in an emergency room at all, you can say she was scared, to say the least. Jonathon was her nurse and boy were we happy.
Jonathon realized right off the bat that my daughter was scared and in a lot of pain. First, when he entered the room, he came in with a smile and introduced himself to her. He reassured her that she was going to be fine and he was right there if she needed anything. He began joking around with her which eased her a lot and made her smile.
At one point she was laughing and forgot about the pain. Whatever she needed Jonathon was right there to help her out. She said at one point she has Jonathon and didn't need me to be by her. As a parent, that was music to my ears. He made her ER visit less terrifying and joyful to the point that she wants to come back to just hang out with him. She now calls him her best friend. He is an amazing nurse and fellow team member and IU is lucky to have him!
