Jonathon is being recognized with the DAISY Award for delivering extraordinary care as confirmed by three nominations.

Jon is a superstar! He is very attentive and always goes above and beyond. When I needed anything, he was right there to take care of me. I wanted a bath every morning at 5:00 AM. He said, “We can do that!” He gave me my first bath at 5:00 AM that morning. Jon is a great team player and was always helping others with their patients. He was compassionate and helped me so much during my stay.

Jon has been an RN here at MVH for several years. He is able to deliver professional care to his patients and help his coworkers as they are caring for their patients. He is a resource for new graduates and other coworkers to problem solve. I have had lots of patients tell me that they “love Jon” as their nurse. He is able to speak compassionately to his patients to soothe their woes. He is a great team player and has even come in on his nights off when things get hairy on the unit! Physicians listen to his assessment and will make appropriate changes based on his report. Jon has weathered his share of personal heartache but you would never know because he comes to work and keeps on going. He is consistent and knows what is going on with each patient on the unit. Nurses on 5E/SE and BMT access his expertise as needed. He is a wonderful asset to Oncology. MVH should be proud to have him!
