I will first mention that Jon Persangi's attention to the tiniest of details has allowed me to feel confident that I am under amazing care. Jon's examinations are thorough as he evaluates my neural functions and asks questions that are both professional and show great bedside manner.
Secondly, Jon has shown me that he has a large capacity for empathy and compassion. Jon happened to be in my room when I was diagnosed with what would be a fatal issue if not treated during my stay. I didn't have any personal family or friends with me at the time and Jon later found time to lift my spirits and we walked around the unit to get my mind off things. Although we didn't directly speak about my case, I understood what he was doing, and I value that someone I didn't know was willing to take the extra time to go above and beyond. I nominated Jon for the DAISY Award because I am grateful to have had him as my nurse and to recognize him as an excellent provider so others may be as fortunate as I have been to be under his care.
