Jordan received a request for documentation for a patient with unusual circumstances that was unable to take care of herself. The patient's parents are taking care of her and due to billing and insurance processes, the patient needed extra assistance. Jordan could have placed judgment or said "we do not do that", but instead she helped them. She elevated the situation to the charge nurse, department director, and risk management. Jordan was able to provide the family with the proper documentation, and the patient was then able to be discharged to a safe environment.
