Jordan Fitzgerald-Stapleton, RN

We were on vacation from Wyoming and wound up in the ED at AdventHealth in Daytona with my husband's heart. He was admitted and Jordan was his nurse for the next two days. She treated us with such passion. She checked on us regularly, kept us updated, and answered our multitude of questions. She stayed past her shift to be with us when the cardiologist came in. We were quite impressed with her vested interest in our case. Once it was determined a pacemaker was needed, she explained what we should expect. That really helped put our minds at ease. Jordan carefully coordinated the timing of a shower and then we were bumped up to the surgical schedule. She quickly knocked out her pre-op checklist to have him ready to go just in time. We were very pleased. After the surgery, this nurse truly went the extra mile to make my husband comfortable and ensure he had what he needed. She was so patient with the new system (Which was implemented only a week earlier). She never complained. Just worked through the issues, verifying the test results, vitals, diet orders, etc. crossed over correctly. At the end of her last shift, before we left, she came by to visit and wish us a safe trip home. We believe any patient is fortunate to be in Jordan’s care!
