Jordan took care of our grandpa in February on PCU. He was very sick with influenza A at 97 years old. The first night he had some complications with his blood pressure, flipping into a-fib and his lungs sounded horrible. He also needed oxygen. Jordan acted quickly notifying doctors. She was in his room often checking on him, despite probably having several other things to do. At one point, my sister and I looked at each other and said: "Wow, she is treating our grandpa like he is her grandpa". She genuinely wanted to do everything in her power to make sure our grandpa was going to be okay. We appreciated her quick response, her compassion, empathy, and very hard work. We feel like she is the nurse we will never forget and in many ways, grandpa called her "his angel that night". He is doing well now.
