Jordan joined our 8900 team at the end of April this year. Since arriving, he has impressed the team, providers, and is capturing the hearts of our patients. He has received six care on the spots from multidisciplinary team members who have noted his passion for working and advocating for our geriatric mental health population. Below are a few examples of how he has shown dedication and compassion to our patients.
One day we were without a Program Therapist. As an experienced geriatric RN, he knew the value of structure and programming so he jumped right in to facilitate the groups. The patients were positively engaged with his interactions and activities.
Recently we had a patient with a unique medication pump requiring medications be shipped to us from an out of state pharmacy. When the discharge was delayed and we were about to run out of the medication, Jordan was a strong advocate for our patient. He worked diligently with the family, the facility, and the team to assure a positive outcome. His commitment to communicating with everyone involved and advocating helped make this a success for the patient and family.
Most recently spiritual care sent a care on the spot based on a patient who was so impressed with the outstanding care that Jordan provided her.
It Read: "I was visiting with a patient yesterday who spoke very highly of Jordan. The patient stated Jordan was a "god-send" and that the extra time he spent talking with them made them feel so much better and hopeful for the future. Thank you, Jordan, for your compassionate work!"
We are so impressed and amazed by the compassion and commitment that Jordan brings to work every day. Our patients are so lucky to have him working with them during challenging times in their lives.
