Jordan McDuffy, RN

Nurse Jordan had his own patients for the day when an elderly patient up the hall from him became agitated. The patient's nurse and tech had made all the adjustments to comfort the anxious patient without success. The room cleared, and Nurse Jordan came in, talked to the patient, and sat down to color with her while they talked.

The anxiety began to leave our elder, and she was distracted from all the prior stimulation, becoming interested in their task at hand. Nurse Jordan exhibited compassion, patience, and genuine empathy for this patient, bringing her to a familiar baseline of calm and presence. Nurse Jordan leads by example of how we should all be with our patients who trust us with their care.

Jordan is my favorite nurse; he always tries to help me in any way he can. If I call, he is always there. He is a very good nurse. He always checks to see if I need anything. I know if I need anything, he will be right there to help me. I wish all nurses were half as good as Jordan. If you need a training person, he would be the best at training other nurses. If I were to rate him from 1-10, I would give him a 12 or better. It's very good to have a nurse like Jordan.
